All video display monitors currently available in the market come with 16:9 wide screen formats, whilst analogue cameras still generate videos in 4:3 aspect ratio. To conventional single, 2×2 and 3×3 screen layouts cannot fill up a wide screen display monitor. Hence traditional DVRs require stretching and distorting the orginal videos in order to fill up the whole screen. To overcome this issue, TeleEye RX800 Series offers 6- and 12-channel instead of 4- and 8-channel models. These models offer revolutionary 3×2 and 4×3 screen layouts which can now perfectly fill a wide screen display up with 4:3 videos. In other words, users can install extra cameras to have additional viewing angles, whilst safeguard the premises against any trespassers.
